Technology has been developed so much more advanced these days. Now i see that most of young parents are exposing the children to the electrical devices. I can see that parents use the advantages from the technology devices to educate their children. I also read this article about what advantage, benefits that technology can help children.
This article above tells us about 10 benefits of exposing young children to modern technology. Most of the benefits mentioned were catching my interest, actually i’m impressed with those.
I’m agree that technology can help children “Improve Language Skills”. As you know children mostly are very curious, so that their parent takes that opportunity to use technology device to open the application that support their language skill like eBook, Kindle and other “book” or “education” application. For my opinion, this is an ethical way to educate children. Because there are lots of book that maybe very old to store in physical up to this time, so that they could store those book “online” and believe they might contain valuable resources that might reach their children’s interest, also improve their language skill as the resource the “ebook” provides
There’s another benefits which i really agree with is “Develops Problem Solving Skills“. according to this article, they said that “younger children are more interested in the short terms of games which are essential in problem solving“. By allow the children to play puzzle/ quiz games will help children improve their problem solving skills and children will learn how to respond and solve the problem when they might in trouble, also improve their knowledge, trigger their curiosity toward asking questions and learning. For my opinion, i totally agree. When i was 10 years old, technology started to be developed. My older brother showed me a puzzle games which require focus to get the best score, and reveal the lore and history upon finish the puzzle level . That puzzle game helps me improve my focus ability more sharper and i got chance to learn about history from different country that showed in that game. for my suggestion that most of parents, especially young parents should use this method to raise their children.
From this article, i can also add another benefits for letting children use technology device is it helps children to open their eyes, find their talents in the future. Why? Because there are some of videos that might catch children’s interest that they will crave into it and it will be their stepping stone to form a dream that they will achieve in the future, give them hope, give them motivation to step forward. Even i the example of proving this benefit from the technology. When i was about 12 years old, i watched the movie “Ratatouille” on TV. The movie is about a mouse that have passion in cooking, even thou there are difficulties in his situation but he still keep the passion alive with him. After watched the movie, i set for myself a dream that in the future i want to be a chef, to cook lots of delicious food for other people. Up until now i’m currently studying Culinary Management in Niagara College and still have my passion alive inside my heart.
I hope that young parents can use the technology ethically that it may help your children in the future and be a wonderful person in the future.
